The folding chair is often a neglected object that is hidden or even kept away. The chair we do not give to our guests. The idea was to take it on a new perspective and build a comfortable chair, on which people would want to sit on. Here, padding isn’t used but tissue tension and entanglement create the visual illusion of a soft cushion, giving the chair a comfortable and light look. It’s made out of beech wood and canvas cotton, two simple and affordable materials, traditionally used for painting framing. The object is less polluting, lighter and more affordable this way.
